We’re one of the biggest and best clubs at Sheffield Uni and the place to meet loads of like minded skiers. We keep you busy with our weekly skiing sessions, monthly snowdome trips, epic socials, legendary holidays and unforgetable BUSC events. We run skiing sessions every week to help you get out on the slopes more, whether you want to cruise around, knock seconds off your race times or perfect your tricks, there’s always someone out on the slopes helping to get you motivated. Whatever your level then the Sheffield Ski Village is the perfect place to practice with a wide range of slopes to suit everyone and, most importantly, a well stocked bar! Have a look at our racing or freestyle sections for more information on those.

If you’ve never skied before but would love to give it a go then don’t worry as lessons are available; and with the Ski Village offering us an army of highly trained instructors they’ll have you zipping down the slope in no time!
If you’re wanting to improve ready for our legendary holidays then we’ve got that covered too as the Ski Village also offer intermeditate and advanced lessons to help you crack those parallel and carving turns.
Once you’ve cracked those, take your skiing to the next level and have a go at our race and freestyle training. A sure-fire way to improve your skiing no matter how un-competitive you think you are.

Beginners meet at The Place at 6:30 on Fridays.
Everyone else meets at The Place at 7:00 on Fridays.

Don’t worry if you don’t fancy a ski one week, as a large proportion of our members love a drink and can usually be found taking over the ski village bar every Friday during and after skiing. Proceedings usually move back to the union or to a club and more often than not involve a trip to Balti King. Friday nights at Ski Club are definitely the best way to kick start your weekend and a great way to meet fellow skiers.

If those weren’t enough we like to spice things up with a range of fancy dress and themed socials, which are sure to leave a lasting impression on you (if you can remember them!). These include our legendary pub golf night at the start of the year.

There are also plenty of opportunities for spreading the ski club love with trips to support our racers and freestylers in Edinburgh, London and the surrounding slopes. These are usually followed by a massive night out and quite a often a ball; giving you a chance to get your glad rags on!
