Winter Varsity “It’s better than Christmas” is going down on the 17th of Feb so if you like seeing Hallam lose…

BUiSC snowdome competitions come back around so competitors get ready and spectators get cheering (you did it so well at BUDS)

And just when you start to get holiday home-sick we have the awesome post holiday social! Re-live the fun times!

The Annual Ski + Snowboard Competition where we take the best local Ski and Snowboard talent, combine it with the largest artificial outdoor slope in the UK, chuck in a BBQ, some tunes, insane prizes and mix it all up with beer.

Ski+Snowboard Competition / Jam Session / Boardercross / Taster Sessions / Coors Beer Rally / BBQ / Bowling / TTC Afterparty

PRIZES INCLUDE:

Taster Sessions – Give snowsports a go! We are offering ski and snowboard taster sessions

Coors Beer Rally – A pint of water is given to you at the top of our obstacle course. Whatever you have left in your cup at the bottom of the slope is replaced with beer!

BBQ – A BBQ will be onsite for all you hunger pains

Bowling – For those of you who like the indoors, you can bowl to your hearts content in the Sheffield Ski Village’s full size ten pin bowling alley

Afterparty – Studio45 sound system providing the slope tunes with a massive 10kW sound system, and inside they are hosting the party in the bar with the smaller 3kW sound system along with Tuesday Club DJs selecting the sounds till 2am!

Tickets will be available from the Box Office at Sheffield Union and from Hubs and from the SUSC, SheffSki, and SHUsnow committees.

The Sheffield Freeze is a great event to improve your skiing skills while helping a charity! For just £4 on top of your ticket, you will get a 1 hour ski lesson from a qualified instructor! Get your tickets now, and bring £4 on the day! What a bargain.

Skiing is back on this week, so get down to The Place for half 6! We will be selling cheap roar tickets for our sheffski get trampy social too!

I’m sure you’ve already guessed… obvs halloween fancy dress, starting in Walkabout as Coors are giving out ski and beer freebies (with a chance to win £2000 worth of ski gear) then do Tiger Works and Bar|One ending up in ROAR.

Get your roar tickets on the day at the Source/Zone from 12-3.  You can also purchase them at Tiger Works on the night (if there are any left!!!).

The deadline to pay for BUDS is Friday the 28th, so come along to this session and pay for that too, otherwise you will lose your place!

We are also taking holiday sign-ups during this session.

Hopefully after that little gem you’re starting to appreciate how good a party BUDS is going to be as we once again break out the FUR and head to the hills to have a few refreshing bevy’s and a huge BBQ whilst cheering on our competitors as they trounce Hallam (SCUM) and deal Newcastle a terrific mauling…

Come along to skiing this Friday to show us what you’ve got! Even if you haven’t raced before, come along and give it a go! You may have some natural talen hidden away. We are looking for competitors for Buds, which you can read about a couple posts below.
