about us

socials

Sheffski is known for its epic socials - from Roar to Tuesday Club to many other events, there is nothing us skiers love more than a good party.

There is something for everyone with a variety of socials bi-weekly throughout the year, as well as sober socials to trampoline parks and the peaks. With Christmas and end of year meals, there is always a reason to be celebrating with Sheffski and we cannot wait for next years socials to be bigger and better than ever.

keep an eye on social media for our first social of the year !

freestyle

Freestyle skiing with Sheffski is for all, whether you have never given freestyle a go before, are progressing or are already a pro, everyone is welcome!
With regular Wednesday sessions at Castleford indoor snowzone where small features are available, there are frequent chances to practice and progress, so keep a look out for posts about upcoming sessions.
Freestyle at Sheffski isn't just for the pros though, it's open to all skiers who want to try a new and challenging side to skiing, all we ask is you are a competent skier who can do parallel turns.

racing

Whether you’re a seasoned ski racer or have just learnt to parallel turn, if you love to ski then you’ll love racing with Sheffski.
There are lots of races to get involved with throughout the year (as a racer and supporter), some of which involve fancy dress, most of which include alcohol and a rowdy apres and all of which are an all round good time.
The Sheffski race team attend both the more serious races such as the BUiSC series at Castleford and the more fun and ridiculous races such as the Kings series - there more racers and spectators who attend the better!
Finally, and importantly, we hold our Varsity ski race on the December ski trip!

uk trips+ competitions

As a club we compete at various competitions such as BUDS, BUISC and Varsity, at which selected teams will compete to be crowned some of the best university freestyle and race skiers in the UK! these are just as big for spectators, with buds dry slope championships being the first major weekend event, at the start of november, perfect to make new friends within the club!

ski racing competitions begin on the 20th october, and are held monthly throughout the year.
